Save The Knolls
T-shirt is Here!

In 2004 we all wore red shirts to the Board of Supervisors meeting where we successfully deterred a high density re-zoning attempt. In bright red, this t-shirt is a must-have for all Knolls residents— especially when we go to future county meetings about re-zoning issues this fall. You can purchase your shirt at Save The Knolls T-Shirt

Don't wait to the last minute, these shirts take two to three weeks to deliver! Of course, these t-shirts are not required attire, but they are cool!

It’s a Neighborhood Newsletter

What do you want to see?

Does anyone have any input for the newsletter? We want to hear from you about what content you’d like to see. We want your ideas and articles. Send an email to SusanaKnollsHOA@roadrunner.com.

Help us keep the Knolls Informed

The HOA does not have contact info for the majority of the neighborhood. It would be helpful if you would talk to your neighbors about sending us their email address so we can add them to our neighborhood list. We keep the list private (really!) and do not share the email addresses with anyone. We also only send out information about the neighborhood – no spam. If anyone wants to join the list and receive this newsletter and other information about the neighborhood have them send an email to SusanaKnollsHoa@roadrunner.com

Susana Knolls HOA Meetings

Susana Knolls HOA meetings are held every other month, on the first Tuesday of that month at 7:00 at the Depot. Join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. See you there!

Night Skies

The International Space Station will be going over head in the next few days. It should be very bright and easy to see with the naked eye. If you rise early you can see it on Friday 5/17 at 5:03 am. The ISS will ascend from the west-south-west horizon. During its 4 minute transit it will be moving toward the north-east-north horizon.

Saturday 5/18 at 4:16 am will be another opportunity to see the ISS traveling southwest to the northeast across our night sky. You can get more info on the ISS and other night sky phenonmenon at www.nasa.gov.

Security lighting may deter random crime Ventura County Sheriff Dan Hanover said at last month's HOA meeting. However he thought placing security and mood lights on timers and motion detectors was a sound neighborly idea to avoid annoying your neighbors with constant light pollution. Not wasting lighting also means saving money on your electric bill whose rate also went up last year. For more info on light pollution please read this article on the National Geographic site.
