County to Resurface Katherine Road-Update 3/20/09

Here's the latest on the road paving.........................

The Contractor plans to pave Katherine Rd. Monday and Tuesday (March 22, 23)

The Contractor will make a sincere attempt to keep a single lane open. Please keep in mind
this means delays as traffic is stopped by the Flaggers. The narrow conditions of
Katherine Road in combination with the large paving equipment used will also add to
traffic delays/problems.

The Contractor plans to begin paving near Santa Susana Pass Road and proceed to roughly
the mid-point on day one and then continue paving to near the Railroad tracks on day
two. Equipment/Batch plant break-downs are common in this business and would delay
the paving schedule.

In closing please remember that other, related activities will include hand-crews cleaning-
up, power-broom sweeping, oiling or tacking the road and miscellaneous work. Please
inform the Residents to drive slowly and to be aware of all of the paving activities.
